Rehabilitation

NFPA 1584, 2022 edition compliant firefighter rehabilitation provided by the regional Killingly Rehabilitation Team, hosted by the Dayville Fire Company. Training and Staffing The Killingly Rehabilitation Unit is staffed by a minimum of a EMT Rehabilitation officer and 1-3 certified medical personnel Funding The Killingly Rehabilitation Unit is funded by the Dayville Volunteer Fire Company and community donations. Drone

Proud to host Killingly’s drone team, staffed by FAA Part 107-licensed pilots, for fire recon and search and rescue. Membership Any fire-service affiliated personnel (members in good standing of area departments) can join the drone team with the permission of their Fire Chief. Fire Suppression

The Dayville Fire Company is proud to host several fire suppression apparatuses, including: Engine Tank 163 - 2000 gpm pump, 1000 gallons, integrated foam system Engine 163 - 1500 gpm pump, 800 gallons Tanker 163 - 1750 gpm pump, 3000 gallons, integrated three sided dump chutes Service 163 - 300 gallons, forestry pump and hose, portable pump Ladder 163 - 2000 gpm pump, 500 gallons, 107’ rearmount aerial

Confined Space

Technical Rescue

The Dayville Fire Company is proud to host a variety of technical rescue services, including Northeastern Connecticut’s only confined space rescue team.

Vehicle Technician

EMS

The Dayville Fire Company provides an R1 (first responder) service at the EMT-B level. Transport is handled by a third party agency, which is primarily KB Ambulance, backfilled by Mortlake Ambulance, American Legion Ambulace and Putnam EMS. Dayville accepts both EMR (emergency medical responder) and EMT (emergency medical technician) level personnel. In additional to EMR and EMT first responder services, Dayville’s EMS company also staffs the Killingly Rehabilitation Unit and provides no-to-low cost training for CPR and EMS certifications and continuing education units.

Training

Regionalized training resources, distance and in-person, including EMS, live fire, and rescue. CPR Training AHA BLS and HeartSaver classes are available on a monthly basis.
